Grandma’s Oatmeal Cookies

I got this recipe from Grandma because she makes the best oatmeal cookies. My kids love these and they had fun helping me make them!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup butter
  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Cup light brown sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 Tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 Cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 1 Tsp baking soda
  • 1 Tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 Tsp cloves
  • 1/2 Tsp allspice
  • 2 Cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 Cup raisins

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine butter and sugars.

  • Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.

  • Combine flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.

  • Add to creamed mixture; mix to blend.

  • Stir in oatmeal and raisins.

  • Drop a tablespoon of dough onto cookie sheet about 2-inches apart. Cookies will spread!

  • Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes.

  • Cool for about 5 minutes on cookie sheet, then remove to a cooling rack.
