From the Bakery Molasses Cookies

The combination of molasses and brown sugar is so delicious! These molasses cookies are rolled in some sugar to give them that bakery look.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup butter
  • 1/3 Cup sugar
  • 1/4 Cup dark brown sugar packed
  • 1/3 Cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Cups flour
  • 2 Tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 Tsp cloves
  • 1 1/2 Tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp ginger
  • 1/4 Tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Melt butter in a med size pot, remove from heat and stir in white and brown sugar.
  • Stir in molasses and the egg. Mix well
  • Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt until combined.
  • Place rolling sugar in small bowl
  • Scoop dough by the tablespoon and roll into balls.
  • Roll in sugar

  • Set on prepared sheet 2 “ apart.
    Molasses Cookies
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Once set, remove and set on wire racks to cool
