I got this recipe from Grandma because she makes the best oatmeal cookies. The secret to this recipe is the cloves and the all-spice. My kids love these and they had fun helping me make them! We decided to mix it up a bit by adding some coconut! You can also add nuts or chocolate chips.
These are great for the kid’s lunches and great for on the go snacks. They are obviously the perfect choice to pair with a tall glass of milk. Makes 3 dozen cookies. These also freeze well if you want to make them ahead of time.
Tip: watch these closely as they tend to burn if left in too long. Cool on wire rack for 5 minutes. You can also switch out the butter for shortening if you have a milk allergy.
