I used German chocolate cake mix & Comstock “more fruit” cherry pie filling & 3 eggs. I added 1/2cup of Ghirardelli dark chocolate morsels and a half a cup of chopped almonds. Turned out perfectly! Excellent recipe! Thanks 🙂

I bring the dessert for a group of friends who get together once a week. I didn’t know what I was going to make until I came upon this simple recipe. I used butter pecan cake mix and apple pie filling and the cake turned out exactly as it’s described.

Although the cake was perfect on its own, I wanted it to be extra special. I topped each piece with a caramel sauce I made while the cake was baking. On top of the sauce, I sprinkled a mixture of coconut flakes, chopped nuts and crushed graham crackers which I mixed together with a very small amount of melted butter.

The end result was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS and was by far the dessert that has gotten the most compliments and requests for the recipe.

Thank you thank you for posting this recipe. It’s simple to make and scrumptious to eat.

Spice cake mix with apple pie filling is delicious and perfect for fall! Sometimes I buy the canned cream cheese frosting, take some out and add a little milk so it is more runable (new word!). I always make bundt cakes with the inside of the pan sprayed with Pam and sugared! The cakes seem to come out of the oven taller and they look so pretty on my antique pedestal plate.

I just made a pineapple upside down in the box with strawberry pie filling and omg it was so good. It even smelled so good while I was mixing. I was worried about the combination at 1st but that’s all I had to work with so I figured why not. And I’m so glad I did. Yummy.
