    Ingredients
    • 1can Italian stewed tomatoesundrained, 14-1/2 ounces
    • 1/2cup beef broth
    • 1/2cup ketchup
    • 3tablespoons brown sugar
    • 2tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 4teaspoons prepared mustard
    • 3cloves garlicminced
    • 1tablespoon soy sauce
    • 2teaspoons pepper
    • 1/4teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    • 1large onionhalved and sliced
    • 1medium green pepperhalved and sliced
    • 1stalk celerychopped
    • 1medium boneless beef chuck roast2 to 3 pounds
    • 3tablespoons cornstarch
    • 1/4cup cold water
    Instructions
    1. Mix together the first 10 ingredients.
    2. In the slow cooker, place onion, green pepper and celery. Place the roast on top. Then pour 10 ingredient mixture over the roast.
    3. Cook on low in slow cooker about 6 hours.
    4. Remove roast and vegtables from slow cooker.
    5. Place cooking juices into a small saucepan. Mix cornstarch and water until smooth and stir into cooking juices. Bring to a boil and cook and stir until thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
    6. Serve roast and vegetables with gravy.
